Clean up Questions

Joe White
I have 4.1.2 from Oct 2015 and I just downloaded 4.1.5 from Dec 2017.  Can I delete the older version or do I have to keep both?
Thanks

Joe;
The installation will remove 4.1.2 and replace it with 4.1.5.

If for some reason you need both versions available there is a way it
can be done but requires a lot of manual intervention and is not
recommended for the average user.

Although you don't need to clean up the program you have downloaded the
installation file probably to your download directory.
When you install OpenOffice it create a directory with installation
files normally on your Desktop these files and directory for
the 4.1.2 release are obsolete and can be deleted.

If you are on MacOSX it is easy to keep different versions by renaming your existing OpenOffice App in the Finder.
