The grid lines all of the labels have disappeared and I do not know how to make them reappear.

Help.

Can you explain a bit more? What application do you use?
And Labels could refer to Address Labels or Labels at Charts.
Grid lines are used in most applications. You can go to Tools -> Options
-> OpenOffice Writer ... Grid
or Tools -> Options -OpenOffice Calc ... Visual aids

Do you mean the faint guide lines that delimit the labels but which
are not part of what is printed? These are controlled by the setting
at Tools | Options... | OpenOffice | Appearance | Custom colours |
General | Object boundaries. You will need to have that option ticked
and its "Colour setting" set to a suitable colour: Automatic should suffice.

I trust this helps.
