[Homepage] Download count at 211,000,000+

Matthias Seidel
Hello all,

The download count [1] is at 211,000,000+ and climbing! ;-)
Daily downloads are stable at around 100,000 a day.

But over the years the graph for "Total Downloads" is (naturally)
getting flatter if the height is not increased.
So I would like to change the height from 150px to 200px and also the
colour from red to blue.

I prepared a page [2] to let you have a look...

Any thoughts?

Kind regards, Matthias

thanks for the idea. I like the changes of color and graph height.

Maybe it's also good to change the focus, so first the graphs and below
them the text. As the most interesting part is - of course - the numbers
and not the explaining text I would see this as another improvement. So,
you can see the numbers without the need to scroll.

Hi Roberto, Hi Marcus,

Please have a look:

http://www.openoffice.org/stats/downloads-test.html

If the colours are OK I would take them also for the other graphs.

Re: [Homepage] Download count at 211,000,000+

Matthias Seidel
As for the other pages:

http://www.openoffice.org/stats/committers.html
http://www.openoffice.org/stats/ooo-dev-subscribers.html
http://www.openoffice.org/stats/defects.html

I would change the colours and the order of text/graphic accordingly
(although their data is outdated).

Does anyone know about the "Open Hub" account (formerly "Ohloh") which
is used for the stats on this page:

https://www.openoffice.org/stats/

They were last updated in May 2016.

Kind regards, Matthias

IMHO Ariel und Jim should have an account for Open Hub.

Thanks, I will ask them if they can update the Open Hub stats...

In the meantime I began to modify the pages.

And maybe I get new translations for the Korean page for the weekend. ;-)

Kind regards, Matthias

Re: [Homepage] Download count at 211,000,000+

Hello all,

I completed the stats pages. Please have a look.

Additionally I wanted to introduce my alternative graphic for the
ApacheCon North America:

http://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/openoffice/ooo-site/trunk/content/images/apachecon_na_2017.png

Opinions?

Kind regards, Matthias

Looks good. But please let some space for others to show their work
also. ;-)

What about to exchange the graphic beginning of April? Then it's visible
for the next 6 weeks until the event begins.

I hope so! ;-)

Now I only have to make the widget run locally, so we can access those
pages with HTTPS.
