Latest release of Apache OO

jd1008
Hi all,
running /usr/bin/soffice  from the command line causes OO to belch out:
/usr/bin/soffice: line 121:  5439 Segmentation fault      (core dumped)
"$sd_prog/$sd_binary" "$@"
Running on Fedora 31.
Please provide info on how to get around this.
Currently, I am suspecting the RAM.
Will run full mem test.
Cheers,
JD

Runs OK for me using /usr/bin/soffice or merely openoffice4 from a commandline on Xubuntu 18.04.3

I doubt it will be a RAM fault, but check RAM anyway.

What video are you using?  I'm on Radeon HD 500/6000/7350/8350 usding ati.radeon driver, rendering with AMD CEDAR (DRM 2.50.0/4.15.0-44-generic, LLVM 9.0.0)

This is distribution-specific. Read here to know how to debug this:

https://bz.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=124948

In that case, the solution was to run

$ sudo dnf install gdk-pixbuf2-xlib

but you might need some additional libraries that will be reported when
you run the checks described at the link above.

Regards,
   Andrea.

For the record, the user reported (off-list) that after installing
gdk-pixbuf2-xlib-2.40.0-1.fc31.x86_64
soffice worked perfectly.
