Hi,
I have benn using Openoffice for almost 20 years. I have lost my sight this
time gradually, but it did not cause any problem. I can use the app by heart,
sometimes my wife helped me click here or there. Nowadays, I started to learn
the usage of a screenreader due to other job reasons. I tried the NVDA and the
Jaws. Both of those works perfectly in accord to the system - except for
Openoffice. Openoffice keeps stuckink with not responding message and I have to
kill it with task manager and recover the document after starting it again. The
screen rader stops in that window during the suffering but other apps wirks
properly. I gave try to the Libreoffice, but it was also a suck with the same
result. I tried to uncheck the accessibility and Java in Openoffice settings,
but, howewer, I started the Windows again, not only the Openoffice, the checkbox
remained checked. I use Windows 10, Openoffice 4.1.8 and Java 8. Perhaps, I do
not understand something, but I can not cope with the issue, even, I did not
find anything on the net.
I would be grateful if anyone had an idea. The problem exists on 2 machine,
at my workplace and at home. Different machines, a PC and a Dell notebook. The
behavieur is the same.
