Printing issue

Christel Lugo
Hello,

I am having a problem with Calc-specifically, it won’t print the pages I need printed. I keep trying to print three specific pages and it will only ever print one of them. The print preview only shows one of them, too.

I have tried defining the print range via format and highlighting to no avail. I have also tried simply selecting a page number range in the print screen. I have tried deleting the print range under format, but nothing works.

Can you help?

Thanks,

Dave Lugo

I that case, your problem is with the document and its construction,
not with your printer.

>I have tried defining the print range via format and highlighting to no avail.

It may just be that you misunderstand how print ranges work. If you
define a print range anywhere in your document, any material not
included in a print range will not print. So if you define a print
range on one sheet (that's sheet, not page), material on *any* sheet
will not print unless it is included in a print range. Perhaps you
have defined a print range on one sheet where you needed it but
omitted to include material in other sheets that you also want printed.

>I have also tried simply selecting a page number range in the print screen.

If some sheets have been excluded by print range(s), no page numbers
corresponding to material on those sheets will appear as available.

>I have tried deleting the print range under format, but nothing works.

If you remove all print rages, everything should potentially print, of course.

I trust this helps.

Dave,

In addition to these good replies, may I ask if you tried Ctrl-P and
selected "All sheets"? Calc seems to default to printing the "selected"
sheet, which is the one you are currently looking at. Using the "quick"
print icon on the toolbar will also default to the "selected" sheet and
not print the others. This is not controlled by the Print Ranges, except
that if a sheet is not in the print range, "All Sheets" will still not
print it. Calc likes to _not_ print stuff. Very frustrating at times.

HTH.

I've found that it is far simpler to PRINT ALL (and discard what's
unneeded) than to futz around with the nitty-gritty.  Yes, the N-G works,
but it's often not worth the bother.  Paper is cheap.  Your time ain't.

I have not tried this but if you highlight the tabs of all three sheets by clicking on each whilst holding the control key down then ensure that the print dialogue box is checked to print only current sheets, does this work?
