new curl version

Tobias Krause-2
Hi all,

I'd like to upgrade our baseline regarding curl in OOo 3.3 for all
platforms except MacOS. Currently, we are using curl 7.12.2. The most
recent stable version of curl is 7.19.7 which I want to use. On MacOS we
are using curl 7.19.1 which remains constant.

Any objections?

Regards
Tobias

The obvious question is why have a different version for Mac ?

I guess Mac OS ships with it's own system curl?

Yes, OOo is using MacOs SDK 10.4 as baseline on MacOS which ships curl
7.19.1. OOo uses system curl on Mac and I don't want to change this
behavior.

OpenBSD wont be affected either, we use our own curl.

10.4 SDK comes with curl 7.13.1, not 7.19.1.

We want to raise the curl baseline to 7.13.1 for *all* platforms. This
version introduced a new error code that shall be used for OOo's FTP
client. The request is not related to Mac OS X.

  Any objections?

- Kai.

Not from me, and 7.13.1 already is years old, so...
If Debian *old*stable already contains 7.15.5 :-)

But please note you should adapt configure to check for the version/error code
needed.

René
